Wanderlustria’s Top Summer Money Saving Tip- Summer Cards

The Summer Cards offer unbelievable deals on summer activities, with some Summer Cards providing free gondola rides, entrance to attractions, and complimentary public transportation.

These Summer Cards cannot be purchased; therefore, you must stay in an official Summer Card-affiliated accommodation.

♦♦ Accommodations that provide Summer Cards tend to be more expensive than those that do not provide the free Summer Cards.
However, most activities and gondolas cost between 25€ and 50€, so with some Summer cards, you can save 50€-100/day per person, depending on the Summer Card offer and the activities you choose.

Not all accommodation providers offer summer cards, so it is recommended that you do your homework.
You can find accommodations that offer the area’s Summer Card by checking the accommodation booking portals on the area’s tourism website.

Important:

Unfortunately, some unscrupulous accommodation providers falsely advertise on booking sites (such as Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.) that they provide the Summer Card—but do not.
So ALWAYS check with the official tourism website (links are provided below) to ensure that the accommodation is an affiliate partner.
The tourism website’s accommodation booking portal typically has a filter for summer card providers.

Wanderlustria’s Top 24 Summer Cards

This selective list includes some of Austria Summer Cards available at the time of writing. This list is not exhaustive but contains some of the most popular summer regions in Austria.

Many regions that provide Summer cards are summer resort areas that are also Ski resorts in winter. Therefore, they have invested heavily in tourism infrastructure.
The Summer Cards, depending on the offer, provide free or highly discounted use of the facilities.
This means that by using Austria Summer Cards, you can enjoy amazing holidays and save money.

You will find gondolas, lifts, summer coasters, hiking and mountain biking trails, swimming lakes and pools, natural attractions such as mountains, gorges etc, museums, guided tours, events, and activities.

Please note that the conditions and offerings can change.  We recommend you check the tourism websites (links provided below)  for information, validity, and conditions.
